For years my family and I visited the Outer Banks and enjoyed all of the amenities a quiet, family oriented vacation area could provide.  After a series of vacations, it occurred to my family and me that something was missing. We realized that there were really no fresh donuts to be found in the area. 

To me, there is nothing like a freshly made warm donut or two or three, along with a piping hot good cup of coffee and a newspaper in the morning, when you are on vacation.  Or any time for that matter.  We thought that if we felt that way, there were probably others out there who did also.  After investigation, recipe trial and errors, and some joint workings with local merchants, we think we developed an answer to the problem.  Duck Donuts!  

We believe you will agree that while there may be other donuts out there, we have found a pretty special combination.  Warm, delicious and made to order donuts along with premium locally roasted coffees for our vacationing friends as well as our year round residents.   Stop by one of our locations.  We hope you will agree!
